(12/30/07): Assisted Living Concepts facility in Washington lays off staff

On November 1, a Washington State assisted living facility owned by Assisted Living Concepts sent eviction notices to their 21 Medicaid residents, effective January 31.  The facility, West Woods, told staff that the evictions would help preserve jobs and raises.  In late December, the facility laid off six workers.  “West Wood care center lays off six staff members,” The Olympian (Dec. 30, 2007).
